Bribery derails the Chief Justice elections. CRTOR defers to Father on the matter. And the false reporting rule gets walked back.
The Chief Justice elections hit a serious obstacle this week. Brul, one of the elected Admins, announced that following a three-day investigation carried out with the community, Erti was found to have broken the server's bribery rules.
The violations included paying gold in exchange for votes and approaching other candidates with offers to redirect their voters to him in return for roles. As a result, Erti has been blacklisted from all future elections on the server.
Four others connected to the same situation — Deluxe, Tsar, Jade, and Winsterie — were also blacklisted for their involvement.
Following the blacklistings, the community decided to restart the Chief Justice elections entirely from the nomination stage. The caretaker phase remains in effect while the process begins again.
Cynder, the current Secretary, confirmed the restart and outlined the three valid paths to candidacy: nomination by the elected Admin, self-nomination by a Senior Justice, or a joint nomination by two Admin Assistants.
Before the restart was confirmed, CRTOR — the creator of the game — shared a statement on the situation. CRTOR noted they had been away for most of the events and did not have enough detail to make a direct ruling.
Because of this, CRTOR deferred the matter to Brul, the current elected Admin and the second highest authority on the server. CRTOR stated that the Tribunal role must always be filled through a fair election that no one can manipulate, and that this is the standard way things should be handled.
In a separate message, CRTOR also addressed the false reporting rule directly. CRTOR stated that false reporting is not a serious offense and should not be treated as one.
Following this, an announcement went out confirming that any accounts deactivated as a result of false report punishments should be reactivated. Players affected were asked to open a ticket and provide proof of their punishment for review.
It was also noted that affected players may receive their lost gold back, though that part of the decision has not been fully confirmed yet.
