July in Contests: The Big Three Take Half

4,253 contest wins over 31 days, and half of them went to just three clans. OG won on volume, OMEN won on efficiency, and CORGI quietly built the strongest roster in the game. The full July ledger.

July was the first full month we have tracked from start to finish, and it settled a few arguments. 133 different clans won at least one contest, but the month belonged to three of them. OG, OMEN and CORGI combined for 2,131 contest wins, which is 50.1% of everything on offer. The interesting part is how differently they got there. OG ground it out with sheer volume. OMEN picked its battles and converted at a rate no other big clan can touch. CORGI did neither and both at once, riding six of the ten best players in the game to the strongest finish of the month. Underneath them, a pair of smaller clans quietly posted the most contest-focused numbers we have seen yet.

Total Wins and Contest Rate
OG played four times more than OMEN for almost the same contest haul

Put the three side by side and the contrast is striking. OG racked up 11,541 total wins in July, more than the other two combined and then some, but only 6.4% of those were contests. It is a volume machine that happens to sweep up contests along the way. OMEN is the opposite animal. With 2,717 total wins, barely a quarter of OG's workload, it still landed 719 contest wins because 26.5% of everything OMEN plays is a contest. CORGI sits between the two on both measures, 4,071 total wins at a 16.5% rate, and made up the difference with individual firepower. Six of the ten best contest players in the game wear the CORGI tag.

PZ is the curiosity of the month. Of their 94 total wins, 77 were contests, an 81.9% rate that suggests the clan barely queues for anything else. The sample is small, so take it with some salt. The clan called 0 is the more serious story: 316 contest wins at a 43.9% rate is a big sample and a huge rate at the same time. We profiled their leaderboard climb in early July, and a month of data has only strengthened the case. They are the most effective contest-focused clan in the game right now outside the big three.

The Race
How the Month Unfolded

Week 4 (Jul 22-31)1,380CORGI, 262OG, 191OMEN, 155

Week 1 was all OMEN. Their 312 wins were nearly three times what CORGI managed in the same stretch, and at that point the month looked like it might be a runaway. It was not. From week 2 the race flattened out, and CORGI took over from there, topping the table in weeks 3 and 4 while OMEN faded from the lead. Worth a note: the 0 clan cracked a weekly podium in week 3 with 111 wins, which is remarkable for a roster that small. OMEN won the early month, CORGI won the late month, and OG never led a single week convincingly yet still finished first overall. Consistency beat brilliance.

The individual table is where CORGI's month really shows. k0e_F topped the whole game with 395 contest wins, and behind him ql-pL, P83_t, SjJlN, Q59dR, oVz7n and qyVw5 give CORGI six names in the top ten. ESXc7 remains OMEN's engine at number two with 362, while QQQQ9 and sMDo9 carry the flag for OG. When one clan supplies more than half of the elite tier, its late-month surge stops looking like luck.

Conclusions
What July Settled
01

OG won the month on volume

740 contest wins, the most of any clan, built on 11,541 total wins at the lowest rate of the big three, just 6.4%. OG never led a week convincingly and still took the monthly crown.

02

OMEN is the efficiency king

719 contest wins from only 2,717 total games is a 26.5% rate. OMEN nearly matched OG's haul while playing a quarter as much. No other large clan comes close.

03

CORGI has the best players

Six of the top ten contest players are CORGI, led by k0e_F at 395 wins. That firepower delivered the strongest finish of the month, with weekly wins in weeks 3 and 4.

04

PZ and 0 are the specialists

PZ played almost nothing but contests at an 81.9% rate on a small sample. The 0 clan posted 43.9% on 316 wins, a serious volume, confirming the contest-first strategy we covered in early July.

05

The spawn rate is fixed

Daily contest wins ranged from 133 to 142 across all 31 days. The server decides how many contests fire, and player activity barely nudges it.

06

Caucasia is still the arena

668 contest wins, 15.7% of the month, happened on one map. OG in particular built a quarter of its entire haul there.

The Bottom Line
Verdict
The Month in One Number
50.1%
Half of July's 4,253 contest wins went to OG, OMEN and CORGI, three clans with three completely different ways of getting there. Volume, efficiency and star power all worked. Below them, the specialists are rising, the map pool is familiar, and the contest engine keeps ticking at the same fixed pace it always has.
